When i try to register at Income tax department site, it says that you are already registered. However i have never registered to that site. I had filed a return last year through an agent. Must he had registered me? How do i retrieve the password now?

Try to get the password from your agent and if oyu are not able to do that, then you can change the password from the website by clicking on Forgot Password. If you are unable to change the password also, then send a mail to efiling@incometaxindia.gov.in about the subject
