Why did Bill Parcels let Emmit Smith, one of the greatest Cowboy's ever, go and pick up Eddie George?

Smith ran for 975 yards in 2002 for the Cowboys and 937 yards in 2004 for the awful Cardinals. George ran for 1031 yards in 2003 for the Titans and 432 yards in 14 games in 2004 for the Cowboys. But it's a good thing Bill Parcels likes big running backs cause i'm sure Emmit could got more done at the end of his career in Big D than George did.

Chosen Answer:
That wasn't Parcells' decision. That decision came from Jerry Jones and team management. Emmitt wanted way too much money and at the time, he was getting pretty old and declining.
